Tempe Lake Veterinary Clinic & Pet Resort of Tempe Arizona has always had an extreme interest in the care of the pets in Maricopa County. We are open 7 days a week 7 AM to 7 PM (*excluding major holidays). We provide veterinary services for dogs & cats, as well as boarding, doggie day camp, doggie daycare, and dog and cat grooming services. Our courteous and friendly staff knows that your pet is a family member and we strive to make them feel at home in our interactive environment on every visit. All of our patients are treated as if they were one of our own. We focus on exceptional, personalized veterinary care, and customer satisfaction on every visit. With this in mind, our animal hospital offers only the best medicine for your dog or cat at all times. We offer emergency medicine, bone surgery, vaccines, health certificates for travel, neuter, spay, declaw, dental cleaning, humane euthanasia, bloodwork, alternative medicine options for cancer therapy, arthritis, pain meds, and alternative pain therapy, ear infection therapy, and skin problems. We offer multiple products that can benefit your pet’s health. Call and ask about our affordable pricing on spay, neuters, and dentals! Our discount pricing is very competitive with other veterinarians in Tempe, Scottsdale, Phoenix, Chandler, Paradise Valley, and Mesa, Arizona. Our dog and cat pet resort are available when you need to travel. Our pet hotel is open 7 days a week (*excluding major holidays). We are one of the few pet resorts in Arizona that offer your dog an indoor temperature-controlled living room with direct access to a private outdoor patio on most of our hotel rooms. We have many large exercise areas for them to run in the grass, play in pools, and expend their energy the way a dog was designed to frolic and play, while you are vacationing. We also offer extras goodies for both our canine and feline guests. Our feline luxury condos face the lobby so your cat can keep an eye on all of the fun commotion. Some of the luxury condos also have a skybox that hangs over the lobby which is an excellent spot for a nice catnap. Your kitty can enjoy multiple tiers perfect for climbing and exploration. Feel free to come in and take a tour of our boarding facility anytime we are open! Holidays & weekends book up very quickly, please keep that in mind when you are planning your pet’s stay with us. We offer services for doggie day camp and day care. Doggie day camp can help your furry friend become socialized with other dogs, especially puppies, so they are well mannered. The day care and day camp allow your dog to enjoy the day and exercise while you are working. We also offer cat daycare if you need it! You can now text us! Dr. Lockhart
DVMDr. Lockhart grew up in New Orleans, Louisiana. As an undergraduate he attended Louisiana State University. He attended veterinary school in St. Kitts, in the West Indies, and graduated from Ross University School of Veterinary Medicine. Dr. Lockhart performed his small animal internship at VCA Animal Referral and Emergency Center of Arizona. He has one dog named Luna and two cats named Thundercat and Anthony. In his spare time he enjoys hiking, eating sushi, working out, exercising his artistic skills by drawing and painting.

VeterinarianDr. Erica Ou was born and raised in Guangzhou, China. She came to the United Stated in 2010 with a dream of becoming a Veterinarian. She earned her Bachelor’s degree in Animal Science at the University of Arizona and moved to Phoenix to pursue her DVM degree. She graduated from Midwestern University Veterinary College in May 2019, mostly focused on small animals. She took an oath to use her scientific knowledge and skills for the benefit of society through the protection of animal health, the relief of animal suffering and the conservation of animal resources and the promotion of public health. She believes the best way to provide professional care for animals is through working closely with their family. She is fluent in Mandarin, Cantonese, and English. She has one cat named Hooba. Hooba was one of the orphan kittens found in Tucson in 2014, they become each other’s best study buddy, sleeping buddy and playing buddy.

Hospital AdministratorAlina is an Arizona native and loves living here! She completed high school and has taken some college courses in education. She has been in this field for over fifteen years. She was a foster failure through Cavalier Rescue Foundation where she adopted her Cavalier King Charles Spaniel named Ace, she also has a Shih-poo named Cuervo. In her free time she enjoys traveling, hiking, movies, and spending time with friends and family.

Lead GroomerChris started working as a dog bather in high school and has been grooming now for over 35 years. She grooms all breeds of dogs, cats, rabbits and guinea pigs too! She has been working in Scottsdale for over 13 years and loves coming into work every day. She has a special knack in grooming for the more “hard to handle” or “special needs” pets and is partial to the older senior dogs. She can groom any pet to your specifications; whether it be a breed standard cut, an easy-care comfort cut, or the latest Asian Fusion style- Chris can do it all. She lives in Gilbert with her husband and four sons, a cattle dog mix named IAN B SMOVE, A cat named NAMI that rules the house, and a very spoiled cockatoo named BiBi Bird. BiBi likes to come to work with Chris- so you may see her from time to time. In her spare time, she enjoys going to the many different sporting events her sons are involved in as well as helping her husband with his catering business, taking trips to Vegas and pet sitting.
